Something Small... Fail First Day...

<--- Like I said it might be small... haha. I actually did this at 12 last night, but that still counts as today. It's hard to get things done while I'm at my dad's house. My brother is always all over me trying to bug the living crap out of me and my step-mom had me folding like 100 pounds of clothing today that they accumulated throughout the two weeks I was absent.

Anyway, I'll try to do something tonight, I have school tomorrow, so getting something done everyday will be a challenge.

In other news, I might be getting a tablet(THANK GOD FOR MY UNCLE! :D). My uncle wrote a children's book not too long ago... well a year ago, probably. Anyway, he wanted me to illustrate it for him, I told him I would, but never did because drawing would take a while. haha. So, he saw this blog come to existence last night and decided that he would be willing to give commission for my illustrations on his book. I obviously agreed, but told him instead of cash I'd like a tablet to do it with. YAYYY! Let's hope for the best.

Btw, I don't proofread. I draw, I don't write. ;p

50 Free Stickers + 25? Yeah.

Custom Stickers, Sticker Printing, Custom Bumper Stickers - StandOut Stickers

So, while browsing Facebook I noticed one of my "friends", Josh, had created a new design for something. I clicked and came to find out it was a design for a sticker. I continued to ask him about it and he told me about this:

"The guys at StandOutStickers are giving away 50 *FREE* FULL COLOR Custom Die Cut Stickers to everyone who links back to them. All you need to do is post their link on your site or blog then email them @ info@standoutstickers.com

Please title the email: Free Stickers - Emptees

Include in the email: Artwork, A link to the where you linked their site at & your mailing address.

You’ll receive your free stickers in 7 - 10 business days( this will vary due to all of the orders that are going in). It’s that simple!!! Please visit their Affiliate Page to grab their text links or banner links.

Special Add ON: If you blog about them and post a photo they will give you an additional 25 Free Stickers!"

So, after seeing this I've created this blog. It has really inspired me to show my talent to others, so I'll be killing two birds with stone. I'll get these to advertise my blog.

New Horizons

I've always made graphics in my free time, well since I was 11 or so when I first started fiddling with paint on my mom's new computer. Being young, I just scribbled everywhere and then changed the color and filled the open spots with the bucket tool. Usually drawing just random random things, such as stick figures or character's visages from the hit t.v. show of the time, Dragonball Z. I found myself growing more fond of the art and more of computers and just everything that went with it.

After a couple of months I was tired of paint and started to draw on paper, which was something that I used to always do. I'd just doodle things and sometimes they'd look decent and sometimes you couldn't tell what the heck I was doing.

I kept the pace to a couple drawings a week, not spending too much time on each item. Though as I got older I seemed to lose interest in drawing, and with my brother making fun of me for not participating in sports and trying to get with girls I strayed away from the subject to try and better myself. Pointless, but no regrets. I'd probably be a better graphic artist, or just artist in general if I hadn't done that.

Back in about... 2005? 2006? I discovered the magnificent thing called Photoshop. It was at Photoshop CS at the time I believe, and they were about to release Photoshop CS2 in the following couple of months.

As Photoshop advanced so did my ability.

Today, I'd have to say that I'm at a decent skill level and am capable of doing enough to start publishing what I make on the internet.

Saying that, I'd like to tell you my proposal. I wish to make a new graphic almost everyday, be it something small or something large. It may be a WIP showing, but it is still updating.

Enjoy my blog. :]
